CrewSELECT are supporting our client in their search for a Rail Mechanical Fitter/Train Maintainer at their Nowergup + Claisebrook facility.

Base + Penalties arrangement.
DS: $64.31 + Penalties
8 hour days with overtime on weekends and during the week. (Nowergup)
Rotating roster roster role with double time on Sundays. (Claisebrook)
Located in Nowergup + Claisebrook off the train line!
This is a cover position for up to 6 months, but if you are a gun, permanent full time work could be on offer.
Job Overview/Duties:
Performing of scheduled and unscheduled work ensuring that the work is carried out in accordance with the technical maintenance manuals.
Carry out scheduled inspection procedures and perform unscheduled repairs on passenger cars and equipment including, checking the function and assessing the condition of equipment, fault find mechanical systems.
About you:
Proven workshop experience working as a mechanical fiter- some exposure to mobile equipment and or rail would be advantageous.
Understand and be available for a 1 to 2 weeks onboarding process.
Versatile, adaptable, and versatile.
Able to multi-task, time manage, prioritise, and effectively organise tasks.
Able to work autonomously and unsupervised, with a focus on the task-at-hand to get the job done.
A ‘can do approach’, productive and proactively searches for the next activity/task.
Tickets and licenses required:
Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate
Drivers License
You'll need to be able to pass a rail medical including a drug and alcohol test for this role.
