While defence and fuel‑industry experience may be advantageous, UGL’s training and development programmes provide entry into the industry. The training will equip you with the skills required to perform your role safely, including specialised interstate facilities and both onsite and off‑site training.

Responsibilities
Support the Defence Fuel Network across Australia, ensuring operational excellence and reliability.
Carry out before‑use inspections of refuelling vehicles, equipment, and documentation to ensure operational readiness.
Conduct daily fuel‑quality checks in line with safe‑work procedures (SWPs) to ensure fuel is free from water and contaminants.
Safely approach and refuel Australian and international military aircraft,



establishing exclusion zones, bonding equipment, and observing all aviation safety requirements.
Complete all post‑refuelling documentation, including meter readings and customer sign‑off, and report hazards or incidents promptly.

Qualifications
Safety is at the forefront of everything we do at UGL and we expect it to be at the forefront of your work.
A valid HC driver’s licence and Dangerous Goods Handling Licence are essential.
Experience in the fuel service and/or defence industry is highly regarded.
Good communication skills and the ability to work in a diverse team.
Current holder, or ability to obtain, relevant security clearances.
