About the Role
Watson Marine Engineering is seeking a motivated and reliable Labourer to support our propeller technicians in a hands on, fast paced marine engineering workplace. Based in Coomera, this casual role offers full time hours and an early finish every Friday.
No experience? No problem - full training is provided for the right applicant!
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the repair and modification of marine propellers
Use computerised measuring equipment to assess repairs and modifications
Operate hydraulic presses and other workshop machinery
Work with air and power tools
Sandblasting, sanding, and polishing of metal components
Perform general housekeeping and workshop upkeep
What We’re Looking For
Solid attention to detail
Good communication and teamwork skills
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Ability to multitask and stay organised
Capable of working independently and as part of a team
Australian Drivers License and own reliable transport
Desirable (but not essential):
Forklift license
Experience in the marine or metal fabrication industries
Mechanically minded (marine mechanic, panel beater, blacksmith, etc.)
Knowledge of metals and fabrication processes
