Volleyball South Australia (VSA) is the peak organisation for the administration of volleyball within South Australia. As the governing body of the second most participated sport in the world, VSA strives to develop volleyball at all levels of the game, from junior development and social participation through to high-performance competition.
As a not-for-profit organisation, Volleyball SA reinvests all funds generated through its programs back into the sport.
Whilst Volleyball SA operates as an independent association, it does so in accordance with Volleyball Australia's policies and guidelines.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The SA Performance Pathway provides a explicit and aligned structure for talented athletes and coaches in both the Beach and Indoor disciplines. A key objective of the Pathway is to identify future athletes for selection and development in the Volleyball Australia national/representative programs. The Pathways Coach is responsible for expert coaching of athletes, support, wellbeing and engagement of athletes as well as giving athletes opportunities to progress.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and deliver Volleyball SA's Tier 2 Performance Pathway Program.
Coach and develop emerging athletes, supporting progression into State,
National and Representative Team opportunities.
Develop and monitor individual athlete development plans, providing regular feedback and performance support.
Identify and nurture talented athletes through Talent Identification (TID) initiatives and pathway programs.
Mentor and support pathway and representative coaches through education and professional development opportunities.
Assist with representative team selection processes and preparation for State and National competitions.
Build robust relationships with clubs, schools, coaches and key stakeholders to strengthen athlete pathways.
Ensure programs are delivered safely, professionally, and in line with Volleyball SA policies and values.

This position is Full time, 38 hours per week, which includes evening and weekend work in line with athlete trainings.
