Design & Build Recruitment is partnering with a well-established commercial builder to source an experienced Project Manager for a long-term contract prospect overseeing two exciting commercial projects across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW.

This role offers the prospect to manage projects from inception through to completion, with a solid pipeline of work extending well into 2027.

The Projects

Project 1 – Fire Station (Byron Bay)
Greenfield development
Project value: $6M
11-month construction program
Immediate start

Project 2 – Four-Story Storage Facility (Miami)
Four-story commercial storage development
Project value: $8M
Site commencement in October
15-month construction program

The successful candidate will initially focus on starting the Byron Bay Fire Station before transitioning into the Miami Storage Facility as it commences, with oversight of both projects throughout their delivery.

The Role

Reporting to the Construction Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Managing commercial construction projects from award through to handover.
Developing and maintaining project programs.
Budget management, forecasting and cost control.
Client, consultant and subcontractor management.




Procurement and contract administration.
Driving safety, quality and programme outcomes.
Leading and supporting site teams to ensure successful project delivery.

About You

To be successful, you will have:
Proven experience delivering commercial construction projects as a Project Manager.
Experience managing projects valued between $5M–$20M.
Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills.
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
The ability to work across multiple projects and priorities.
Relevant construction qualifications and a current White Card.
