At Calvary Health Care, we believe that “being for others” is at the heart of everything we do. As a volunteer, you’ll be part of a dedicated team bringing comfort, dignity, and support to people when they need it most.

Calvary Kooyong is seeking volunteers to capture patient, resident and local community life stories. You will help listen, transcribe and edit these stories.

Commitment
3 days of Volunteer Core Training, plus 3 days of Life Stories Training
Availability during business hours
Commitment of 8–12 one‑hour sessions with an author (one hour per week), plus time at home to transcribe and edit the sessions.
Additional hours to complete and present the life story

Total hours per life story can be approximately 60–70 hours.

Comfortable with the written word
Robust communication skills
Valuable listening skills
Willingness to learn
Competent IT skills

Access to own car and computer
