Responsibilities
Prepare high-quality meals, maintaining consistency and food safety standards across all kitchen operations.
Inspect ingredients and foodstuffs to ensure quality prior to preparation.
Monitor and regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, and cooking equipment.
Prepare, cook, and present menu dishes using a variety of cooking techniques.
Season food appropriately throughout the cooking process.
Portion dishes and finish with gravies, sauces, and garnishes for service.
Store food correctly in temperature-controlled facilities per food safety standards.
Prepare meals to accommodate special dietary and allergen requirements.
Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control across all dishes.
Uphold food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent recognised qualification.
Minimum 1 year of post-qualification full time (or equivalent part time) relevant experience as a Cook.
If no trade qualification, then a minimum of 3 years of full-time (or equivalent part time) relevant experience as a Cook.
Experience in authentic Indian cuisine.
Knowledge of regional Indian cooking styles.
Salary: AU$80,000 – AU$85,000 per year (plus Superannuation)
Location: Victoria Park, WA 6100; Willetton, WA 6155
