Job Description
Operate and maintain treatment plants and associated infrastructure;
Conduct sampling, testing, basic analysis and reporting;
Record results and maintain logs and SCADA/control system data;
Monitoring plant processes and adjust to maintain compliance;
Assist with routine maintenance, troubleshooting and Perform general plant cleaning duties and maintain machinery and infrastructure to meet necessary quality requirements.

About the Candidate

LO-GO Appointments is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators for a range of temporary assignments with Local Government across North, South and Western Queensland.

We're working with several Councils who need skilled operators across drinking water, wastewater and combined plant operations. These roles offer hands‑on work and the chance to contribute to essential services in regional communities.

For those open to travel, this is a fantastic chance to also experience regional and outback Queensland,



with roles based onsite and requiring being away from home for the temporary duration.

Council will provide with self-contained accommodation for the duration of the temporary assignment as well as cover travel expenses at the beginning and end of the assignment.

Please Note: To be considered, applicants must hold unrestricted working rights in Australia and demonstrate proven experience and knowledge of the Australian Local Government sector.
Experience in water and/or wastewater within a council or similar regulated setting
Certificate III in Water Industry Operations;
Knowledge of secure chemical handling and storage;
Experience with SCADA or similar plant monitoring/control systems;
Current C class Drivers License and White Card;
Flexibility to participate in on-call roster and weekend work.
