The Opportunity

Streeton Park Retirement Living

is a vibrant riverside community set along the banks of Melbourne's Yarra River, surrounded by the lush parklands of Warringal Park and Heidelberg Park. This architectural gem offers residents a warm, connected lifestyle with luxurious amenities including an onsite restaurant, cinema, beauty salon and gym, all designed to support an active, purpose-filled retirement.

As a highly motivated Cook, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment to prepare and deliver high-quality meals to our residents. You'll bea great communicator, enjoy being hands-on with kitchen preparation and enjoy supporting residents' well-being. The residents are the heart of everything we do and the reason we come to work every day, their happiness is key to a successful overall operation, and we are looking for someone who values this as much as we do.

This is a casual role, helping our team on an ad-hocbasis with covering leave or when we need an extra pair of hands!

You Will

- Provide restaurant-style kitchen and dining service




- Assist in the daily kitchen preparation and serving of meals
- Ensuring daily quality meal service to residents and visitors of the surrounding Aveo Community
- Daily monitoring of food safety plansand following all Food Services procedures

What you'll bring

- Knowledge and/or experience in catering/kitchen/hospitality settings (e.g experience in food preparation)
- Food Safety Certificate OR Certificate III in Commerical Cookery (desirable)
- A friendly and warm persona with a passion forfood and chatting with residents!
- Current Police check (required, but we can complete for you!)
- Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
