Business Analyst - 2-year Contract - Data Governance & Data Security projects

We are a specialist ICT consultancy who works with Large Government Organisations on large transformation projects.
We are looking to hire an experienced Business Analyst for a 2 year+ contract role. This engagement will focus on multiple upcoming projects encompassing the development of a cloud data warehouse solution, improvement of Information Governance maturity with data loss prevention controls, data security and a new AI solution.

Role Responsibilities

Client/customer requirement gathering and running workshops
Assist the Project Manager to audit, establish, and manage the project deliverables and project lifecycle
Work closely with the Information Security Architect and the Data Engineers

Contribute to the design and develop all project documentation

Qualifications & Experience

Proven work experience as an ICT Business Analyst
Some previous project experience with Data Warehouse, Data Information Governance, Data loss prevention and/or AI projects
Good knowledge of advanced business information systems
Experience working in an Agile environment (Agile, SCRUM, Kanban)
Ability to work & communicate with technical and non-technical teams
Excellent analytical and problem-solving attitude
Advanced requirement gathering and stakeholder engagement skills




Experience with business analysis techniques and tools used to elicit business requirements, use of UML, creation of business process models, domain models, use cases, features, user stories and test cases

Any previous WA government industry experience highly regarded

Beneficial “nice to have” Experience

Exposure or experience with Snowflake cloud-native data warehousing platform

Exposure or experience with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS)
