About the job/n

The Canberra Public Sector Sales Team is hiring a hands‑on Sales Manager who will lead and develop a team of Account Executives, supporting current and prospect customers across the Public Sector in shaping their Data & AI strategies and modernising their solutions.

/n

The role requires an advanced and strategic understanding of business challenges, a customer‑centric and value‑creation mindset, and the ability to build relationships with key accounts in the Public Sector market. The focus will be on driving growth by leveraging existing relationships and creating new ones.

As Sales Manager, Public Sector, you will/n

/n

- Be responsible for the achievement of total software revenue target and the management of business objectives.

/n

- Plan and implement growth plans for software, consulting services, and education services.

/n

- Take care of direct management of sales and sales support activities for staff members to implement growth plans and sales activities.

/n

- Develop and implement marketing, sales, and business development plans to exceed target levels.

/n

- Generate new business through strategic‑based selling and managing relationships with key customers.

/n

- Be responsible for communication with sales management team to coordinate account strategies.

/n

- Be responsible for hiring, directing and evaluating staff.

/n





- Work in conjunction with the Strategic Pricing Group to negotiate contracts and bids.

/n

- Be responsible for timely and accurate forecasting of software, consulting services, and education services.

/n

/n Required qualifications/n

/n

- Previous sales management experience working for a software company, with experience in the Public Sector.

/n

- Experience in addressing the Public Sector industry and in defining a strong GTM strategy.

/n

- Demonstrated management and coaching skills in a sales organization.

/n

- Proven track record of negotiation at C‑level.

/n

- Ability to manage, negotiate, and close multiple complex sales opportunities that may be international.

/n

- Capacity to make corporate strategy your own through measured and efficient localisation.

/n
