Executive Principal | Kimberley WA

Generous Remuneration plus accommodation, vehicle, meals, utilities and exceptional lifestyle benefits

An exceptional executive leadership prospect exists for an accomplished educational leader to shape the future of a unique residential boarding school in the Kimberley. This is a rare opportunity to lead one of Australia's most cutting-edge Indigenous education initiatives.

This newly created Executive Principal position will lead a consolidated Years 7 to 12 school operating across two campuses, bringing together an innovative educational model that places Indigenous identity, language, culture and community at the centre of learning.

Reporting directly to the Board, the Executive Principal will provide both strategic and operational leadership, ensuring educational excellence, organisational sustainability and strong governance, while building enduring partnerships with Aboriginal communities and Traditional Owners.

This is a role for a leader who is motivated by purpose, embraces complexity and understands that meaningful educational outcomes are built through trust, collaboration and genuine community engagement.

The Opportunity

The Executive Principal will provide the vision and leadership required to guide the next stage of the school's evolution.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and delivering the strategic direction of the organisation in partnership with the Board.
- Leading educational excellence across two campuses, ensuring a consistent, high quality student experience.
- Building authentic and respectful partnerships with Aboriginal communities, families and Traditional Owners.
- Leading and developing a high performing executive, teaching and residential workforce.
- Driving organisational sustainability through enrolment growth, financial stewardship and operational excellence.
- Maintaining the highest standards of governance, child safety,

risk management and compliance.
- Representing the organisation with government, philanthropic, corporate and education partners at the highest level.

This is a leadership appointment requiring a leader who is equally comfortable shaping long term strategy, leading organisational change and maintaining a strong presence within a residential school community.

The Person

The successful candidate will be an accomplished executive leader with significant experience leading complex educational organisations.

You will demonstrate:

- A distinguished record of executive leadership within schools or multi campus education settings.
- A commitment to culturally responsive education and a genuine respect for Aboriginal culture, knowledge and community leadership.
- Experience working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, particularly within remote, regional or residential environments.
- Outstanding strategic planning, organisational leadership and change management capability.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience overseeing budgets, governance and organisational performance.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the credibility to work effectively across government, community and Board environments.
- Personal resilience, humility and a collaborative leadership style that inspires confidence and builds capability in others.

Postgraduate qualifications in Educational Leadership or related disciplines will be highly regarded,

together with experience reporting to Boards and leading within complex governance environments.

The Lifestyle

This role offers far more than an executive appointment. It provides the opportunity to become part of a remarkable community and contribute to an educational model that is recognised nationally for its innovation and impact.

A comprehensive executive package is offered, including:

- Executive remuneration package based on experience.
- Salary packaging benefits.
- On site accommodation.
- Fully maintained vehicle.
- Utilities and meals provided.
- Six weeks annual leave.
- The opportunity to live and work in one of Australia's most extraordinary landscapes while making a profound difference in the lives of young people.

Preferred commencement is October 2026, however we welcome conversations with outstanding candidates who may be available to commence at the beginning of the 2027 school year.

Applications are welcomed from Australian citizens and permanent residents with unrestricted work rights. We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, whose knowledge, leadership and lived experience are highly valued.

This is an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy by leading an educational community where culture, learning and opportunity come together to transform lives.

If you are a visionary educational leader seeking an opportunity to create lasting impact through authentic partnership, strategic leadership and educational excellence, we would welcome your application.
