About the Role:
Lyell McEwin Hospital's Intensive Care Unit is one of northern Adelaide's busiest critical care environments, and its contribution to the ANZICS Adult Patient Database shapes better outcomes for ICU patients across Australia. If you are a registered nurse with ICU experience and a keen eye for data integrity, this is a role where clinical expertise meets meaningful research impact. What You'll Be Doing
- Collecting, validating and submitting accurate patient data to the ANZICS Adult Patient Database and related critical care registries
- Collaborating with ICU medical, nursing and quality teams to ensure data completeness and clinical accuracy
- Supporting benchmarking activities and contributing to quality improvement initiatives informed by ANZICS reporting
- Acting as the unit's key contact for ANZICS data queries, audits and training requirements
What You Bring
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with demonstrated ICU or critical care experience
- Familiarity with ANZICS data collections, clinical registries or healthcare data management
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with clinical datasets and audit tools
- Effective communication skills to liaise across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage competing data submission deadlines
- A commitment to evidence-based practice aligned with SA Health and NALHN standards
To be eligible for this position, you must be Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate

Our Local Health Network Sites and Services:
NALHN provides a range of hospital (inpatient), outpatient, community and home-based services across multiple sites in Adelaide's north and north-eastern suburbs, including Aboriginal health, mental health, and GP services.
Lyell McEwin Hospital - the major hospital in northern Adelaide for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetric, paediatrics and outpatient services.
Modbury Hospital - a general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.
Mental Health Services - adult and older persons mental health services and statewide forensic mental health services, across hospital and community settings.
Watto Purrunna Aboriginal Primary Health Care Services - provides culturally responsive primary healthcare services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in-hospital and across four community sites.
Primary Health Care Services - including GP Plus sites at Elizabeth, Modbury and Gilles Plains.
