We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Technical Writer to support complex ICT programs, with a strong focus on government and enterprise environments. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, structured documentation across system design, operations, cyber security, and business processes, while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Agile delivery environments.

BASELINE CLEARANCE REQUIRED AS A MINIMUM

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, review, and maintain a wide range of technical documentation including:

- Detailed and High-Level Design documents
- System architecture and overview documentation
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Incident response, backup, and recovery documentation
- Cybersecurity and compliance documentation
- Migration plans and build/configuration artefacts
- API guides, training materials, and knowledge base articles
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate with stakeholders including:

- Architects, developers, testers, and engineers
- Product managers, business analysts, and SMEs
- Delivery teams and executive stakeholders
- Analyse business processes and create supporting artefacts such as process flows and BPMN diagrams
- Identify documentation gaps and define appropriate artefacts aligned to project requirements
- Support Agile delivery by contributing to sprint ceremonies, planning, and documentation aligned to user stories and releases
- Ensure all documentation adheres to organisational standards, governance frameworks, and security requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement of documentation processes, templates, and quality standards

Key Skills & Experience





- Extensive experience in technical writing within ICT environments, including infrastructure, cloud, and enterprise systems
- Demonstrated experience delivering documentation across:

- System design and architecture
- Infrastructure and data centre environments
- Incident management and IT service operations (ITIL)
- Cybersecurity and compliance documentation
- Strong understanding of Agile/SAFe delivery frameworks and documentation practices
- Experience working across Microsoft technologies and cloud platforms (e.g. Azure), as well as enterprise systems such as SAP and AWS
- Proven ability to engage with technical and business stakeholders and extract requirements effectively
- Advanced skills in documentation tools and platforms including:

- MS Office Suite (expert-level Word)
- Confluence, SharePoint, JIRA
- Authoring tools and content management systems
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
