Boddington is a flagship Newmont gold and copper operation in Western Australia, located about 130 kilometres south-east of Perth and 16 kilometres from the rural town of Boddington. Your impact

As a key member of the Process Operations team, reporting to the Production Superintendent, you will play a critical role in leading contractor, ancillary and support workforces across Boddington Gold Mine.
Your expertise will support the safe, compliant and efficient execution of contractor management, operational support activities, housekeeping programs, plant clean‑downs, shutdown preparation and ancillary services, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and in alignment with operational priorities.

As part of our team you will

Lead and supervise contractor, ancillary and general labour personnel supporting Process Operations

Coordinate daily, weekly and shutdown work plans, ensuring resources and priorities are aligned to operational requirements

Manage contractor mobilisation, documentation, inductions, competencies and site readiness requirements





Verify compliance with safety, environmental, statutory, isolation, permit and critical control requirements prior to work commencing
Coordinate housekeeping, washdown, hosing, clean‑up campaigns, sump and drain maintenance, and spillage management activities across the processing plant
Support shutdown preparation, plant rundown activities, execution support and start‑up readiness
Monitor contractor performance, service delivery, productivity, quality and cost‑effectiveness

Conduct field leadership activities including inspections, task observations and workplace interactions

Liaise closely with Operations, Maintenance, Planning, Supply Chain and Business Partners to ensure work is safely executed and appropriately resourced

Drive a solid culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement and housekeeping excellence across the operation

Prerequisites for your success in the role

Minimum 5 years' experience working within a large‑scale mineral processing, mining or heavy industrial environment
Minimum 5 years' experience supervising mobile plant, earthworks, contractor or ancillary service activities
Proven experience leading contractor, labour hire and operational support workforces
Demonstrated experience managing work within active operating environments while maintaining high safety, production and operational performance standards
Strong contractor management, coordination and stakeholder engagement skills
Demonstrated ability to build productive working relationships across Operations, Maintenance, Planning and contractor workgroups
Proven frontline leadership capability, including coaching, mentoring and workforce development
Strong planning, organisation and coordination skills
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making ability within a dynamic operational workplace

High level of computer literacy and reporting capability

Experience Using

Technical Skills & Systems Experience

Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
Maintenance Management Systems (SAP desirable)




CMS or similar project tracking systems

Planning, reporting and work management tools within a mining or heavy industrial environment

Highly Regarded

Certificate IV in Frontline Management
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Statutory Supervisor qualification or examination completion
Experience supporting shutdown planning, execution and operational readiness activities

Knowledge of contractor management, permit‑to‑work systems and operational risk management processes

Your work environment

This role is based at Boddington Gold Mine on an 8/6 roster and offers the opportunity to lead a diverse contractor and ancillary workforce supporting one of Australia's largest gold mining operations.

Working within Process Operations, you will be responsible for coordinating critical operational support services, contractor activities, housekeeping campaigns and shutdown readiness initiatives that directly contribute to safe and reliable plant performance.

You will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Planning, HSLP and Business Partners to drive safe work execution, operational excellence and continuous improvement across the processing operation.

You may choose to live locally and commute daily or, if based outside the local area, stay in village accommodation under a DIDO arrangement. You’ll stay in on‑site accommodation with modern amenities, including a well‑equipped gym, recreation facilities, quality meals, and reliable connectivity.
