About the Role As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Project Delivery to lead our Project Management function and provide strategic oversight of our growing portfolio of clinical trials. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this critical leadership role is responsible for the successful delivery of all clinical projects from pre‑award through to final study completion.

You will lead a team of Project Directors and Project Managers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, on budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements, while fostering a culture of operational excellence, client satisfaction, accountability, and continuous improvement. As Head of Project Delivery, you will: Provide strategic leadership and end‑to‑end oversight of Accelagen’s clinical project portfolio, ensuring studies are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Directors and Project Managers, fostering a high‑performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Drive operational excellence through effective project governance, resource planning, risk management, process improvement, and regulatory compliance. Oversee project financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, revenue delivery, profitability analysis, and management of project‑related risks.



Partner with the COO and cross‑functional leaders to develop and execute project delivery strategies that support organisational growth and business objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, clients, vendors, and strategic partners to ensure exceptional service and client satisfaction. Support commercial initiatives through proposal development, bid defence meetings, scope and budget reviews, and strategic client engagement. Champion best‑practice project management methodologies while ensuring compliance with ICH‑GCP, regulatory requirements, company SOPs, and quality standards. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring:A minimum of 10 years’ experience within clinical research, including at least 7 years in project management and/or leadership roles within clinical trials. Proven experience managing Phase I–III clinical studies across a broad range of therapeutic areas, from project award through to clinical study report delivery. Demonstrated success leading project delivery teams within a CRO, sponsor, or healthcare research environment. Strong strategic planning, portfolio management, and operational leadership capabilities. Solid financial and commercial acumen, including experience managing budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, and project profitability. Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ability to influence and build trusted relationships with clients, senior leaders, and cross‑functional teams.A passion for delivering outstanding client outcomes and driving continuous improvement across project delivery functions.
