Midway Ford is seeking a skilled Parts Interpreter to join our team on a full-time basis at our Midland, WA location. This is a critical role within our warehousing and distribution operations, where you will be responsible for accurately identifying, cataloguing, and locating automotive parts within our inventory system.

As a Parts Interpreter, you will be instrumental in ensuring efficient order fulfilment, maintaining accurate stock records, and supporting our sales and service teams to meet customer demands. This position plays a vital role in the smooth operation of our parts distribution centre and directly impacts customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

- Interpret technical part specifications, diagrams, and documentation to accurately identify and locate automotive components within the inventory system
- Input and maintain precise part data in our warehouse management system, ensuring all records are current and accurate
- Process parts orders efficiently by cross-referencing part numbers, specifications, and customer requirements against stock availability
- Verify part compatibility with vehicle models and specifications to prevent errors and returns
- Communicate with sales, service, and procurement teams to resolve part identification queries and manage order discrepancies
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliation to maintain inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Support the organisation and optimisation of parts storage locations to enhance picking efficiency and reduce retrieval times
- Assist in training and mentoring junior warehouse staff on parts identification and inventory procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and records relating to parts movements and warehouse transactions

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience working in automotive parts distribution, warehousing, or a similar inventory management environment
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, vehicle systems, and part nomenclature




- Proficiency with warehouse management systems and inventory control software
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately interpret technical documentation and part specifications
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Solid mathematical aptitude for inventory calculations and stock reconciliation
- Effective communication skills to liaise with various departments and resolve queries professionally
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment
- Physical capability to perform warehouse duties, including lifting and moving parts
- A commitment to accuracy, safety, and maintaining high standards of customer service
- Desirable: Previous experience with Ford vehicle parts and systems would be advantageous
