About the role

Permanent full time and temporary part time opportunities supporting the Chief Allied Health Practitioner (CAHP) in delivering Metro North Health-wide strategic initiatives by designing and implementing innovative allied health strategies, leading workforce planning and models of care reform to improve health outcomes and strengthen system capability, while providing operational leadership to key specialist teams including the Disability Advisory Team, Behavioural Emergency Response Team, Mental Health Intensive Discharge Team and Workforce Development Officers.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

- Provide high level leadership and management in the initiation, development, implementation and evaluation of MNH wide allied health strategies and plans to address recruitment, retention, workforce capacity and capability.
- Provide expert level strategic direction and vision in aligning local, state, and national allied health and health system priorities to solve complex, large-scale workforce and model of care challenges.
- Provide strategical leadership for delivery of initiatives to improve health equity and outcomes for patients and staff of Metro North who have disabilities.
- Provide expert strategic advice and authoritative counsel to the CAHP and Directors of Allied Health,



MNH executive and senior leadership teams, Directorates and Streams, the Department of Health, and other internal and external stakeholders regarding allied health clinical services, care for people with disabilities, allied health workforce issues and health service innovations that have HHS and state-wide implications.
