- Employment Type: Permanent Full Time (80 hours per fortnight), including one Accrued Day Off (ADO) each month.

We are seeking a full-time employee. Part-time applications may be considered for applicants available to work 8:30 am-5:00 pm.

- Salary Range: $67,537.60 - $88,722.40 per annum, pro rata, plus superannuation

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person to join our Aboriginal Programs team as an Aboriginal Liaison Officer (ALO).

In this rewarding role, you will support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and families throughout their healthcare journey while strengthening connections between community and health services.

You will:

- Support patients and families to understand their care, treatment options and hospital processes.
- Advocate for patients and help ensure their voices are heard.
- Build strong relationships between patients, families and healthcare teams.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of programs that improve community health and wellbeing.
- Work across hospital and community settings to create positive, lasting outcomes.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with a passion for improving community health and wellbeing.

Eligibility

As this is an identified position under Section 12 of the Equal Prospect Act 2010 (Vic), applicants will be required to provide a completed Confirmation of Aboriginality form, or a previously completed equivalent, during the recruitment process.
