Our client, a large and well-respected not-for-profit organisation, is seeking dedicated clinicians to join an established Child and Family Mental Health team delivering an early intervention service for children aged 5–12 years experiencing emerging severe or complex mental health needs.

We are currently recruiting for multiple positions, including:

- Child & Family Clinician
- Senior Child & Family Clinician

These roles offer the opportunity to work within a cooperative multidisciplinary team alongside experienced clinicians, psychiatry support and leadership, providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions that support children, parents and carers to achieve positive mental health outcomes.

About the role
Based across partner primary schools in Western Sydney (up to four days per week) and one day from the Oatlands office, you will provide child-centred, strengths-based therapeutic support for children experiencing emotional, behavioural and mental health challenges.

Working closely with families, schools and other professionals, you will play a key role in delivering early intervention services that minimise the impact of mental health difficulties and promote long-term wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children aged 5–12 years.
- Complete comprehensive assessments, care planning and case management.
- Undertake behavioural observations, clinical formulation and risk assessment.
- Deliver developmentally appropriate interventions, including CBT adapted for children, emotion regulation strategies and play-based approaches.




- Provide parent coaching, family-inclusive interventions and joint parent-child sessions.
- Collaborate closely with schools, families, GPs, paediatricians and other community services.
- Maintain high standards of clinical documentation, quality and safety.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative multidisciplinary team.

About you

We are seeking experienced clinicians who bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Counselling or a related discipline.
- Current or provisional registration or membership with the relevant professional body (AHPRA, AASW, PACFA or equivalent).
- Experience supporting children under 12 years experiencing emotional, behavioural and mental health challenges.
- Strong understanding of child development, family systems and child and family mental health.
- Experience delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children.
- Confidence engaging children through developmentally appropriate, creative and play-based approaches.
- Experience undertaking child assessments, behavioural observations and clinical formulation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with parents, schools and multidisciplinary stakeholders.




- Excellent communication, relationship-building and case management skills.
- Current NSW Driver Licence and Working With Children Check.

Senior Clinician applicants will also demonstrate
- Extensive experience working therapeutically with children and families.
- Experience supporting children with anxiety, emotional regulation, behavioural challenges, trauma and attachment-related presentations.
- Strong family-inclusive practice, including parent coaching and behaviour support strategies.
- Confidence working with complex presentations while contributing clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary environment.
