Join the team in our Elizabeth (Inner North Office) as an Access Worker or Support Worker to facilitate positive interactions between children and their birth families. As an Access Worker, you will supervise children and young people during visitations and record daily interactions to office teams. Contrastingly, the Support Worker will undertake research and enact appropriate measures to assist clientele with sensitive matters. You will accurately refer children and young people to beneficial support services, such as suitable government and community organisations. These agile roles safeguard the safety and wellbeing of children and young people through dedicated supervision and care support.

As an Access Worker, you will:

- Arrange and coordinate access visits between children, young people, parents and carers
- Enact appropriate conflict resolutions strategies to mitigate conflict
- Record incidents, hazards and injuries to maintain accurate reporting processes.

As a Support Worker, you will:

- Manage sensitive matters of clientele by exercising precise response measures
- Connect children and young people with valuable resources through committed research and networking endeavours
- Provide administrative support and attend regular case discussions with DCP staff.

About you:

- You possess high interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and understand the needs of clients




- You can accurately pinpoint the issues that affect vulnerable young people and provide suitable improvement measures
- You have exemplary networking and verbal communication skills to connect beneficial community service providers
- You employ active listening skills when conversing with clients to effectively understand their needs
- You enact a positive, inclusive workplace environment that upholds cultural sensitivity.
