Due to continued growth, we’re seeking an experienced Head Spray Painter to lead our spray-painting operations.
About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position overseeing the spray-painting process from preparation through to final quality checks. You’ll work closely with our team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming
- Mix and apply industrial coatings using airless and conventional spray equipment
- Maintain consistently high-quality finishes across all projects
- Lead and mentor workshop staff and apprentices
- Coordinate daily workflow and meet production deadlines
- Conduct quality inspections before completed work leaves the workshop
- Maintain spray equipment and ensure the workshop remains clean and organised
- Follow and promote all Workplace Health & Safety procedures
About You
To succeed, you’ll bring:
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as an industrial or automotive spray painter
- Leadership or supervisory experience (preferred)
- White Card (preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current driver’s license
- A positive attitude and solid work ethic
Bonus Skills:
- Forklift license
- Working at Heights, Confined Space or EWP tickets
- Abrasive blasting experience
