The School of Nursing and Midwifery is at the cutting-edge of nurse education and research, through the provision of innovative, high-quality education and translational research that makes a difference to the lives of people in our communities locally, nationally, and internationally. Our purpose is to improve the health and wellbeing of communities for today and future generations by educating aspiring/ transformational nursing and midwifery leaders through a lens of humanitarian principles of social justice, equity, and inclusion.

For over four decades, the School of Nursing and Midwifery has been educating Nurses and Midwives in Western Australia.

The School is rated number 1 in WA for Nursing (Undergraduate overall experience) and is proudly ranked 29th in the world for its nursing program (Shanghai Rankings 2025). ECU graduates the most registered nurses in Western Australia, as well as providing a comprehensive range of postgraduate programs of study which prepare students for positions in the nursing and midwifery professions.

The School also hosts the only dual degree of nursing and midwifery and the only Masters of Nurse Practitioner course in WA.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to develop new ways of working with students and staff at the SNM. Your knowledge of student processes and available support services, experience of student-related systems, and strong communication and influencing skills are crucial. You will also demonstrate personal attributes congruent with the University’s values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Courage and Personal Excellence.

About you

We seek a highly motivated, student-focused, and well-organised problem-solver to join our team at the SNM as a Teaching and Learning Support Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting staff with teaching or learner-focused roles by providing services, resources and advice to improve the quality of learning and teaching within the School.

Working closely with the ADTL, planning and delivering projects and strategic activities that enhance teaching and learning initiatives within the school.
