We are a modern private dental practice seeking a Dental Receptionist to join our team.
As the first point of contact for our patients, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a warm and friendly first impression, thrives in a busy environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care and customer service. Working closely with the practice manager and clinical team, you will play an important role in supporting both patients and staff in the day-to-day operations of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming, professional, and caring experience
- Manage front desk operations and patient reception
- Coordinate appointments, recalls, and daily schedules
- Provide warm and qualified patient communication in person and over the phone
- Process billing, payments, and health fund claims
- Maintain accurate patient records and administrative systems
- Support workflow efficiency and assist with general practice coordination
- Liaise with clinicians and dental assistants to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist general administrative tasks
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, and patient-focused team culture
- Provide versatile operational support,
assisting chairside or in sterilization to maintain seamless patient care during high-demand periods or staffing gaps
About You
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting highly regarded
- A dedicated team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Cheerful, friendly and well presented
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Passion for delivering exceptional patient care and service
