About the role

The Anna Centre is seeking an experienced Counsellor to join our growing team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will provide counselling and psychosocial support to individuals across EAP and wellbeing programs. This position does not involve Medicare-rebatable services.

You will work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment with strong administrative systems, allowing you to focus on client care and outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver individual counselling and psychosocial support
• Conduct comprehensive client intakes and assessments
• Develop, implement and review client support plans
• Deliver evidence-based counselling interventions
• Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as required
• Prepare accurate and timely clinical notes and reports
• Communicate effectively with referrers and internal stakeholders
• Maintain compliant client records in line with legislation and policy
• Participate in service delivery, program development and quality improvement initiatives

Skills and experience





• Relevant qualification in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years full time (or equivalent) post-qualification counselling experience
• Demonstrated experience delivering counselling interventions in a professional setting
• Strong communication, documentation and report-writing skills
• Good organisational and time-management capability
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Commitment to ethical, culturally safe and client-centred practice
