Road Maintenance Performance Contract Team Leader

Council is seeking to appoint a permanent full time Road Maintenance Performance Contract Team Leader to contribute to Council’s success.

About the Role

This position is responsible for overseeing the management of programs for the Roads Program Delivery business unit, including the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) Road Maintenance Performance Contract (RMPC), Minor Infrastructure Contract and Transport Infrastructure Contract (TIC) fields. Also, Council’s Capital and Operational programs.

You will bring:

1.



Diploma in Civil Construction and/or demonstrated experience in Civil Construction and Maintenance Projects.
2. Specialist discipline knowledge of basic principles, guidelines, standards applicable to the Civil industry.
3. Previous experience in supervising / leading a team.
4. Strong interpersonal, communication (verbal and written English) and conflict resolution skills to engage and negotiate with contractors, service providers and employees.
5. High-level demonstrated skills in prioritising, planning and organising work to meet regular and concurrent deadlines.
6. Experience in carrying out investigations and writing reports inclusive of making recommendations for identified outcomes.
7. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
8. Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.
9. Current Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card).
10. Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
