Your next opportunity:

Reporting to the Quarry Manager, this is a key site-based leadership role with genuine ownership: you'll drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), embed a strong planned and preventative maintenance regime, and build a high-performing maintenance team that keeps plant reliable, safe and cost-effective.

Your day will involve:

Developing and overseeing the maintenance strategy, ensuring planned and corrective work is scheduled and executed across all fixed and mobile plantDriving OEE improvement by tracking availability, performance and quality metrics and implementing corrective actionsLeading a continuous improvement culture within the maintenance team, embedding sustainable process and asset improvementsControlling the site's R&M; budget and developing CAPEX business cases where investment supports safety, compliance or reliabilityLeading major maintenance planning and shutdown execution, coordinating resources and contractors to minimise downtimeManaging and developing the site maintenance team, including coaching and root cause analysis of repeat or high-risk failuresMaintaining a strong safety framework across maintenance activity, including work permits, SWMS and contractor complianceDriving data-led maintenance through the site's CMMS, ensuring accurate records and KPI reportingLiaising with the Quarry Manager to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements and Boral's Safety, Environmental and Quality Standards

What are we looking for?

Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or equivalent) preferredDemonstrated maintenance supervision/management experience in quarrying, mining or heavy industrial environmentsSound understanding of OEE principles and continuous improvement methodologies,



with a track record of translating them into measurable resultsProficiency with CMMS platforms (e.g. Maximo, Oracle or similar) and Microsoft OfficeProven root cause analysis and structured problem-solving capabilityExperience scoping and delivering capital projects that improve safety, reliability or asset performanceStrong track record managing and developing maintenance teams as well as in contractor management
