We’re a small, tight-knit workshop based in Yatala looking to take on a 1st year Boiler Maker Apprentice (Fabrication).
This isn’t one of those big companies where you’re just sweeping floors for 12 months. You’ll be part of a team that teaches you properly, backs you, and expects you to have a go.
We’re a positive crew — everyone works hard, has a laugh, and has their own hobbies outside of work (cars, bikes, farm life, etc.). We care about what we do and who we work with.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be learning:
Boilermaker:
- Fabrication and welding
- Working with steel and structures
- Cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
- Working on new products as well as repairs and maintenance.
You’ll be hands-on from day one — not just sweeping floors and cleaning.
What You’ll Need
- Completed Year 10 (or higher)
- Manual driver’s licence (unrestricted)
- Your own reliable vehicle
- Some welding and/or mechanical interest or experience (even if it’s working on your own car/bike/tractor)
- Your own basic hand tools (spanners, pliers, Allen keys, hammers, punches etc. — approx. $250–$500)
- Ability to show genuine interest and basic understanding of mechanical work

This is a safety-critical role. We are looking for someone who is reliable, emotionally mature, safety-focused and able to work professionally under pressure. The successful applicant will be required to meet the inherent physical and safety requirements of the role and may be required to undergo pre-employment medical, functional capacity and reference checks.
