Short Term Project - Wollongong

Responsibilities:

- Read and work from blueprints, drawings and technical docs

- Measure, mark and prep materials ready for welding

- Set up your gear — welding machines, gas torches, power tools

- Cut and prepare metal surfaces (grinding and other prep as needed)

- Assemble frames and structures to spec

- Weld using the right technique for the job

- Check your own work — every weld meets standard, finished product inspected for defects

- Keep your equipment and tools maintained and in positive nick

- Reliable transport to the Wollongong area

Qualifications:

- Certificate/diploma in welding, or equivalent on-the-job experience

- Welding experience in a construction setting

- Confident reading blueprints, drawings and technical documents

- Skilled at using and maintaining welding equipment

- Solid knowledge of welding techniques and materials across different jobs

- Full working rights in Australia

- White Card

Pay: $55.00 – $60.00 per hour
