As part of this vision, we're expanding our course maintenance team to four full-time staff and looking for an ambitious Assistant Golf Course Superintendent (2IC) who wants to help shape the future of one of Australia's premier golf destinations.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Golf Course Superintendent, you'll become an integral member of our expanding course maintenance team.

This is far more than a traditional 2IC role. You'll help lead the daily operation of the golf course while contributing to a long-term strategy that is transforming Chalambar into one of Australia's premier golf destinations.

You'll be empowered to contribute ideas, challenge the status quo and help drive continual improvement across every aspect of course presentation and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in leading the day-to-day operation of the golf course.





- Supervise and support the grounds team, including acting as Golf Course Superintendent during periods of absense.

- Help deliver our strategic course improvement plan.

- Coordinate daily work schedules and maintenance programs.

- Operate, maintain and continually improve our irrigation systems.

- Train, mentor and develop greenkeeping staff.

- Ensure exceptional presentation standards across all playing surfaces.

- Assist with chemical application, machinery operation and course set-up.

- Foster a culture built on teamwork, pride, accountability and continuous improvement.

- Contribute ideas that improve efficiency, presentation and the overall golfer experience.

About You

You're someone who genuinely enjoys producing outstanding golf course conditions and takes pride in developing those around you.

You're motivated by improvement, enjoy taking ownership and want to be part of building something that will become recognised across the industry.

You will have:

- 5+ experience working on a golf course.

- Strong irrigation operation, maintenance and troubleshooting experience.

- Sound knowledge of modern turf management practices.

- Experience leading or mentoring staff.

- A genuine passion for developing people and sharing your knowledge.

- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

- A proactive attitude with a desire to continually improve.

- Certificate III or IV in Sports Turf Management (or equivalent).

- Chemical Accreditation and relevant machinery licences (desirable).
