About You
You're passionate about supporting people with disability to live meaningful, connected lives. You believe in respectful, person-centred practice and enjoy building genuine relationships with participants, families and multidisciplinary teams.
You hold a degree qualification and have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Psychology
- Applied Behaviour Analysis
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Pathology
- Social Work
- Counselling
- Criminology
- Disability
- Nursing
- Education
- Mental Health
- Music Therapy
- Psychotherapy
- Sociology
- Special Education
- or another relevant discipline.

You'll also require:
- Current Driver Licence
- Access to a reliable, privately insured vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Working with Children Check
About the Role
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner you will:
- Work alongside participants to understand their goals, strengths and support needs
- Complete functional behaviour assessments
- Develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans
- Coach families, support workers and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with schools, accommodation providers and allied health professionals
- Conduct observations, interviews and assessments
- Select referrals that align with your clinical interests and strengths
- Support participants of all ages with diverse support needs
You'll receive ongoing training in:
- Positive Behaviour Support
- Functional Behaviour Assessment
- Trauma-informed practice
- Human rights and restrictive practices
- Risk assessment
- Telepractice
- Clinical formulation
- NDIS legislation and best practice
You'll also receive ongoing guidance to support your Behaviour Support Practitioner registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
