MacKellar has been delivering safe, reliable mining and maintenance services for more than 60 years. We're currently seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our permanent maintenance team at Middlemount Mine.

About the Role

Working within a high-performing maintenance team, you'll be responsible for maintaining a large fleet of heavy mining equipment to maximise safety, reliability and production.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Breakdown diagnosis and fault finding
- Component replacements, rebuilds and major repairs
- Inspecting equipment and identifying reliability improvements
- Completing maintenance documentation and work orders




- Working collaboratively with operations and other trades
- Maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards

About You

You'll be a motivated tradesperson who enjoys working in a fast-paced mining environment and takes pride in delivering quality maintenance outcomes.
To be successful, you'll have:

- Australian recognised Trade Qualification as a Heavy Diesel Fitter or Plant Mechanic
- Experience maintaining heavy earthmoving or mining equipment
- Solid mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical (or the ability to obtain)
- Current Queensland Driver's Licence
- Commitment to safe work practices and teamwork
