We are seeking a skilled Power BI and SQL Professional to join Comfresh Group in Edinburgh. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work with data analytics and database technologies at the heart of our operations. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising our data solutions whilst delivering actionable insights that drive business decisions across the organisation. This role is based in our Edinburgh office (SA 5111), providing a collaborative environment where you can develop your expertise in database development and business intelligence technologies.

What you'll be doing

1. Designing and developing SQL databases to support business requirements and ensure optimal data integrity and performance

2. Creating and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports that provide real-time insights to stakeholders across the organisation

3. Writing, optimising and troubleshooting complex SQL queries to extract, transform and load data from multiple sources

4. Collaborating with business users and analysts to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions

5. Ensuring data quality, accuracy and security across all reporting and analytics platforms

6. Monitoring database performance and implementing improvements to enhance system efficiency and reliability

7. Documenting technical processes, data models and solutions to support team knowledge sharing and continuity

8. Supporting the integration of new data sources and systems into existing infrastructure

What we're looking for

1. Proficiency in SQL with strong experience in database querying, data manipulation and optimisation techniques

2. Demonstrated expertise in Power BI including dashboard development, report creation and data visualisation best practices

3. Experience with relational database management systems and data warehouse concepts

4.



Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex datasets

5. Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data integration methodologies

6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders

7. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate solutions

8. Experience working in an agile or collaborative team environment

9. Relevant qualifications or certifications in database administration, SQL or business intelligence (preferred)

10. Experience in the food, retail or FMCG sectors would be advantageous but not essential
