About the role

ART Operations Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis in Port Adelaide, SA 5015. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical equipment and systems across our operations. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our mechanical assets, supporting the overall productivity and success of the organisation. This is a hands-on position that requires both technical expertise and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Key responsibilities

1. Working on the maintenance of rail air-conditioning units (HVAC)

2. Dismantling HVAC unit components and cleaning as directed

3. Testing of HVAC units (Incoming and Outgoing)

4. Ensuring parts are on-hand and ordered for all work

5. Manual Handling – using hand tools, hoists and trolleys

6. Assembling unit components

7. Overhaul rail mechanical components as we enter into other overhaul contracts

8. Participating in pre-work briefings and proactively making suggestions for improvement

What we're looking for

1. Qualified Mechanical Fitter

2. Air-conditioning and/or refrigeration experience and knowledge an advantage

3. Have a keen eye for detail

4. Ability to recognise and solve service/maintenance problems

5. Demonstrated skills as a mechanical technician

6. The experience to complete assigned tasks on time and to a high quality

7. Complete required paperwork as required to meet company quality requirements

8. Previous rail component overhaul experience would be an advantage

9.



Relevant forklift licences would be an advantage

10. Bronze welding experience an advantage
