Kerr Engineering is seeking a skilled CNC Profile Cutting Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Henderson, WA 6166. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our production operations. As a CNC Profile Cutting Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC profile cutting equipment to produce precision components that meet our high quality standards. This role is essential to maintaining our production schedules and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our clients.
Key responsibilities
1. Operating CNC profile cutting machines in accordance with specifications and work orders
2. Setting up machines with appropriate cutting tools, work pieces and programme parameters
3. Monitoring machine operations to ensure components are cut to precise measurements and tolerances
4. Conducting routine inspections and quality checks on finished components
5. Maintaining accurate production records and documentation
6. Performing regular maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, lubrication and minor repairs
7. Troubleshooting and resolving machine issues or contacting maintenance staff when necessary
8. Following all health and safety regulations and company procedures
9. Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status and concerns
What we're looking for
1. Proven experience operating CNC profile cutting machines or similar CNC equipment
2. Strong understanding of machine programming, tool selection and cutting parameters
3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
4. Knowledge of quality control procedures and measurement tools such as calipers and micrometres
5. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
6.
Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
7. Strong communication and teamwork abilities
8. Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
9. Current certification in CNC operation or a relevant manufacturing qualification is desirable
10. Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software is advantageous
