About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Store 2IC to join the Clark Rubber team in Erina, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your retail management career with one of Australia's leading rubber and pool products retailers. As Store 2IC, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager and ensuring the smooth operation of our store. You will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining store standards, and driving sales performance. This role is based at our Erina NSW location and is essential to the success of our retail operations.

Key responsibilities

1. Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day management and operation of the store

2. Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance management to ensure a motivated and skilled team

3. Maintain store cleanliness, organisation, and visual merchandising standards

4. Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, and conduct regular stocktakes

5. Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues professionally and promptly

6. Drive sales performance and promote products to customers

7. Process transactions accurately and manage cash handling procedures

8. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations

9. Monitor store security and loss prevention measures

10. Open or close the store as required, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly

11. Deputise for the Store Manager in their absence and make decisions to maintain store operations

12. Contribute to achieving store targets and KPIs

What we're looking for

1. Proven retail management experience, ideally in a supervisory or second-in-charge role

2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members

3. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build positive customer relationships

4. Proficiency in point-of-sale systems and retail management software

5.



Sound knowledge of inventory management and stock control procedures

6. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

7. Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required

8. Knowledge of the rubber, pool, or construction products industry would be advantageous

9. A current driver's license is desirable

10. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

12. High level of integrity and commitment to company values
