Student Administration
The Student Administration Directorate supports the student experience, and the experience of other customers through robust systems, data and resources that facilitate a streamlined transactional and digital self-service capability and underlying support systems.
About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader, Student Transactions to join our fast-paced, high-volume service environment. This is an exciting opportunity to lead Admissions operations while driving the successful delivery of complex projects that support the University's strategic and operational objectives.
In this role, you will provide strong leadership to a dedicated team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for overseeing key deliverables, enhancing business processes, and ensuring exceptional service outcomes for students and stakeholders. Your ability to inspire, develop, and empower your team will be critical to success.
The Student Transactions Team plays a pivotal role in supporting the student lifecycle and is a key source for information relating to admissions, assessments, student records, fees, and scholarships. The team is responsible for managing changes to processes and content,
ensuring all information and practices remain compliant with University policies, regulatory requirements, and relevant legislation.
Working closely with Schools and professional service areas across the University, the team provides expert advice and manages complex Tier 3 enquiries, develops and maintains communications and content, secures appropriate approvals, and ensures student information is accurate, current, and consistently communicated across the institution.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through operational leadership, stakeholder engagement, and the delivery of high-quality services that enhance the student experience and support the University's success.
About you
The successful applicant will possess the following skills, experience and capabilities:
- Proven experience in operational management and complex project management, preferably in a similar leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities and deliver solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive work environment particularly during periods of high pressure.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex and fast-paced environments.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to organise and prioritise work and meet deadlines.
