About the role:
We currently have an opening for a Factory Hand at Smart Steel in our Malaga branch.
Duties Include:
- Reading of wall frame drawings
- Reading of truss frame drawings
- Reading of floor joist drawings
- Competent & safe handling of workshop hand tools
- Working to the quick pace of the set job production job times
- Using the cutting saw for processing purlins & SHS/RHS
- Using the hydraulic cutoff shear for processing lightweight items.
- Assisting with packing of wall & truss packs ready for transport.
- Using the strap packing machine
- Responsibility of issued trolley & hand tools
- Occasional work on the roll form machine.
- General house keeping to maintain a clean safe work area.

- Good hand / eye coordination skills
- Safety conscious and ability to work in a busy environment
- The ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision
