KEY REPONSIBILITIES:
The Storeperson provides support primarily to the Logistics Coordinator and the broader STW team across a varied range of functions. The Storeperson plays a pivotal role in the efficient functioning of a warehouse by undertaking various responsibilities. Their primary duty involves managing inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels, and facilitating seamless product retrieval. Storepersons are responsible for receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods and preparing and dispatching outgoing orders. They meticulously maintain records of stock movements, update databases, and conduct regular stocktaking to prevent discrepancies. Additionally, Storepersons operate forklifts and stock pickers, and other equipment to handle goods safely. Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse space, complying with safety protocols, and collaborating with team members are crucial aspects of their role, ensuring warehouse operations' overall productivity and reliability.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
2. Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
3. Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
4. Keep a clean and protected working environment and optimise space utilisation.
5.
Report any discrepancies.
6. Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers.
7. Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Completion of Year 10 WACE or equivalent.
2. Valid High-Risk Work License- Forklift Ticket with at least 2 years of forklift operations experience.
3. Proficient in English.
ELIGIBILITY:
1. Working rights in Australia. No sponsorship for this role.
SKILLS:
1. Basic computer skills using Office 365 and other apps.
2. Sound ability to use a forklift and preferably operate a stock picker.
3. Ability to work individually or in a team environment under limited supervision.
4. Strong attention to detail.
5. Good verbal communication skills.
6. Physically fit and capable of safe manual handling.
PERFORMANCE GOALS:
· Complete tasks on time and to the required standard.
· Responsible for the quality of one's own work, subject to routine supervision.
· Plans work in consultation with the Logistics Coordinator, Sales Team or Leadership Team.
· Deal with employees professionally at all times.
· Ensure their office space is always clean and presentable.
*This role has some working at height requirements when using the stock picker to retrieve stock.
