About the role

Reporting to the Head of Privacy, Data and Records Risk, you will support ongoing uplift of privacy, data risk and data governance frameworks, ensuring risks across the data lifecycle are effectively identified, assessed, monitored and managed.

You will also support delivery of the Fund's Privacy and Data Risk Transformation Program, driving uplift in governance, risk management capability, controls, accountability and organisational maturity.

Key Accountabilities:

- Deliver privacy impact assessments, support data breach response activities, and provide advice on privacy and data risks across products, services and technology initiatives
- Support the Fund's Privacy and Data Risk Transformation Program, including initiatives that strengthen governance, risk management capability, controls and accountability
- Maintain and enhance privacy and data governance frameworks
- Support implementation and maturity of data governance practices, including data ownership, stewardship, accountability and control effectiveness
- Partner with business, risk and technology stakeholders to embed improved privacy and data risk practices across strategic programs, business processes and transformation initiatives
- Monitor risk indicators, controls, and emerging threats while delivering reporting to leadership and regulators

You will support both BAU and our transformation programs and be the central point of contact across the Fund for Privacy and Data queries.

What will you bring?

- Proven experience in data risk, data governance, operational risk or enterprise risk roles, ideally within superannuation or financial services
- Strong understanding of privacy legislation, data governance principles and data risk management practices
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation, regulatory change or capability uplift programs
- Experience implementing or embedding governance frameworks, controls, operating models or risk management practices within complex organisations
- Understanding of data lifecycle risks, including data quality, critical data assets, data ownership and stewardship
