About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to take full operational responsibility for a supermarket location in Cummins. You'll lead a team, manage day-to-day operations, and ensure the store delivers on customer service, presentation, and profitability targets. This is a full-time, in office role suited to someone looking to settle into a regional community and take genuine ownership of a store.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, rostering, and staff supervision
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage performance of store team members
- Drive sales and profitability through effective merchandising, promotions, and stock management
- Manage stock ordering, inventory control, and supplier relationships to minimise wastage and stockouts
- Ensure compliance with WH&S; and food safety regulations
- Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and visual merchandising
- Monitor and control wages, shrinkage, and other cost lines against budget
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and community engagement to build strong local relationships




- Prepare and analyse sales reports, budgets, and KPIs, reporting to senior management
- Ensure cash handling, banking, and point-of-sale procedures are followed correctly
- Champion a positive, safe, and supportive workplace culture

About You

- Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role (supermarket/grocery experience highly regarded but not essential)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Solid understanding of stock control, rostering, and P&L; management
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work a flexible roster including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required
- A hands-on, "lead from the front" approach
- Current driver's licence (relocation candidates welcome)
- Full Australian working rights required

What We Offer

- $65,000 – $80,000 + Superannuation, dependent on experience
