FACILITIES CLEANER

About the Role

We are a busy steel fabrication and engineering business based in Henderson, WA, and we're looking for a reliable, hardworking Facilities Cleaner / Maintenance Person to join our team on a full-time basis.

This is a hands-on, varied role that keeps our workshop, offices, and yard in safe, clean, and functional order. You'll be the person who takes pride in their environment, spots what needs doing before being asked, and gets the job done without fuss. If you like being busy, working independently, and contributing to a team that builds real things — this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Housekeeping

- Daily cleaning of amenities, lunchrooms, change rooms, and office areas

- Cleaning floors with mops, brooms, dust pans, vacuum cleaners, or other cleaning equipment.

- Cleaning walls, windows, floors, stairways and other surfaces in warehouses and factories.

- Removal and management of waste, swarf, offcuts, and general industrial debris from the workshop floor

- Pressure washing of hard surfaces, yard areas, and equipment as required

- Restocking of consumables including soap, paper products, and cleaning supplies

- Maintaining cleanliness of company vehicles

- Filling in cleaning records daily.

- Perform other duties as assigned

Grounds & Yard Maintenance

- General upkeep of yard areas, car parks, and external grounds

- Lawn mowing, garden maintenance, rubbish collection,



and presentation of the facility perimeter

- Management of skip bins, waste segregation, and recycling in accordance with site procedures

About You

- A reliable self-starter who takes initiative and doesn't need to be told twice

- Physically fit and comfortable working in an active industrial workshop environment

- Experienced in industrial or commercial cleaning — workshop or manufacturing experience is a robust advantage

- Handy with basic tools and capable of carrying out minor building and grounds maintenance

- Good communicator who works well within a team and takes direction professionally

- Committed to safety and maintaining a tidy, hazard-free workplace

- Previous cleaning experience.

- Must have 1+ years experience in dealing with chemicals.

- Attention to detail.

- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Required

- Current, valid Australian driver's licence (C class minimum)

- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening

- Right to work in Australia
