If you enjoy the outdoors, warm weather, fishing, and a relaxed coastal lifestyle, Mackay is the place to be. We are expanding our tree services division and are seeking a keen, safety‑aware, street‑smart individual who wants to build a long‑term career in arboriculture.

About the Role

This position is ideal for someone young or early in their career, who is motivated, reliable, and eager to learn from experienced arborists. You do not need a Cert III in Arboriculture — what matters most is your attitude, willingness to learn, and attention to detail.

You will work alongside qualified arborist and learn:

- Tree maintenance and safe work practices

- Chainsaw operation

- EWP/ Spider Lift operation

- Basic climbing and rigging (as you progress)

- Hazard identification and risk management

- How to operate in commercial, government, and residential environments

Some travel within Regional Queensland may be required.

What We’re Looking For

- Keen to develop a career as an arborist

- Strong attention to detail





- Safety‑aware and able to identify risks

- “Street smart” and situationally aware

- Physically fit (for the NQ heat)

- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn

- Positive communication skills

- Construction White Card (or willing to obtain)

- Manual car licence – required

- MR truck licence – preferable

- Team player with a positive attitude
