We are seeking an experienced and trade-qualified Fabricator to join our busy workshop team in Forrestdale. This is an excellent chance to secure a long-term position with a reputable company that values quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork.
About the Role
Based in our Forrestdale workshop, you will be responsible for the fabrication, welding, assembly, modification, and repair of steel products, components, and specialised equipment.
The role requires strong expertise in metal fabrication and welding, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacture components to precise specifications. You will work on a range of custom fabrication projects and engineered solutions, using your technical skills and problem-solving ability to deliver high-quality outcomes safely and efficiently.
This position offers the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively within a skilled team while contributing to a variety of challenging and rewarding projects.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Trade qualification as a Boilermaker/Fabricator (essential)
- Relevant Trade Certificate
- Proven experience with MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welding
- Strong fabrication and welding skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using measuring equipment, hand tools, grinders, welding and cutting equipment, and metal-forming machinery
- Sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Current Manual Driver’s Licence
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated attitude
- Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol screening if required
