Role Description: This Consultant role is based in Adelaide, SA and offered on a hybrid basis, combining time in the office with flexibility to work from home. The Consultant will collaborate with clients in the water and environment sectors to analyse challenges, identify opportunities, and develop practical strategies and solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities includeSupport the setup, planning, and delivery of projects by coordinating activities, managing tasks, and contributing practical solutions for clients.Produce high-quality consulting outputs, including research, analysis, business cases, reports, and presentations; using current digital, analytical, and AI-enabled tools to improve quality, efficiency,



and insight.Work with project leads, senior consultants, and directors to deliver strong client service and support BMCG's continued growth.Contribute to proposals, client conversations, and new project opportunities.Build judgement, confidence, and independence by seeking feedback and applying what you learn.Contribute to a safe, inclusive, caring, and growth-oriented team culture through your personal and collaborative approach.Bring curiosity, initiative and a solutions-focused mindset, taking ownership of your work and looking for opportunities to create lasting value for clients, communities and our team.QualificationsWe are seeking someone in the early stages of their career who wants greater responsibility and independence within a values-driven firm. To apply for this position, you will be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, located in or near Adelaide, South Australia; hold a relevant degree in engineering, business, commerce, finance, economics, environment, science, or a related degree and have 1-5 years’ experience in consulting, or water/utilities, infrastructure, research, government or similar sector.
You will have skills and experience in several of the following areasExcellent written & verbal communication skillsResearching issues, trends,



risks and opportunities using traditional methods and digital and AI-enabled technologies.Undertaking qualitative and quantitative analysis, program reviews, evaluations, maturity assessments and interpretation of structured or unstructured datasets.Contributing to strategies, plans, business cases, reports, briefings, presentations and other client deliverables.Translating research, data and analysis into clear, evidence-based and practical advice for clients.Coordinating tasks, inputs, meetings, timelines and priorities to support effective project delivery.Supporting stakeholder engagement, workshops, interviews and client communications.Contributing to proposal preparation and business development activities under guidance.Using Microsoft 365 and team-oriented platforms such as Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Mural, Power BI or equivalent tools and BMCG’s project management systems to work efficiently and collaboratively.Using digital, generative AI and automation tools responsibly and critically to support research, drafting, analysis, quality assurance and improved ways of working.Working with GIS, spatial data, Python, R or other analytical and visualisation tools is desirable, but not essential.
