About Us:

Brand's Pharmacy Services operates a network of private pharmacies across QLD, NSW, and WA, employing over 130 staff across community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, wholesale supply, and compounding/manufacturing.

Our Rockhampton pharmacy provides comprehensive services to Mater Hospital Rockhampton, combining hospital inpatient services with community pharmacy and specialised areas including IVF and ophthalmology.

The Role:

We're growing our casual pharmacist pool at Rockhampton Mater Hospital Pharmacy. This is genuinely casual work — covering annual leave, sick leave, and peak periods — with the flexibility to pick up regular shifts during the week as well, up to 24 hours, for someone who wants more consistency without committing to fixed part-time hours. For the right person, we'd also consider a move to permanent part-time down the track.

This isn't your typical "pick one lane" pharmacy job. You'll get clinical exposure (ward rounds, discharge counselling, drug information to nursing staff) AND community pharmacy skills (dispensing, patient counselling, Webster packing) in one position.

What You'll Do:

Hospital/Clinical Component:

- Ward rounds and patient medication reviews

- Hospital discharge medication counselling and summaries

- Maintain imprest (ward stock) requirements

- Provide drug information to nursing and medical staff

- Clinical liaison between hospital wards and pharmacy

Community/Dispensing Component:

- Dispensing and PBS claiming

- Patient counselling and medication management

- Webster packing for community patients

- General pharmacy customer service

Specialised Services:

- IVF medication supply and counselling (specialised training provided)

- Ophthalmology prescriptions and patient education

What We Need:





- AHPRA registration + professional indemnity insurance (current)

- Strong communication skills — you'll interact with hospital staff, community patients, and specialised clinics

- Willingness to learn both hospital and community workflows (if you only know one, we'll teach the other)

- Professional approach and commitment to patient care

What You DON'T Need:

- Equal expertise in hospital AND community (we'll train gaps)

- Full availability (this is genuinely part-time and flexible)

- Years of specialised IVF/ophthalmology experience (we provide training)

What You Get:
