Assistant Manager – Join the Team at The Queensland Hotel

The Queensland Hotel is looking for an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Assistant Manager to join our team.

This is an on-the-floor leadership role, so we're looking for someone who enjoys leading by example, working alongside the team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You'll be actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the venue.

About the Role

As our Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in the daily operations of the hotel, overseeing all areas of the business, including gaming, bar, food & beverage, and customer service. You'll lead the team from the floor, ensure compliance with industry legislation, and help create a positive and welcoming environment for both our customers and staff.

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 5 years' hospitality management experience, with strong exposure to gaming, Keno, bar, and food & beverage operations

- Previous experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar leadership role

- A thorough understanding of liquor, gaming, and hospitality legislation





- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team

- Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution skills

- Exceptional cash handling skills and attention to detail

- Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment

- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently

- Adaptable availability, including nights, weekends, and public holidays

Essential Qualifications

- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)

- Current RSG (Responsible Service of Gambling)

- Current RMLV (Responsible Management of Licensed Venues)

- Current Approved Manager's Licence

- Current First Aid Certificate (preferred but not essential)
