About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pasteuriser Operator to join our production team at our Traralgon facility. This is a full-time position based in Traralgon, VIC 3844. As Pasteuriser Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our dairy products meet the highest quality and food safety standards. You will be responsible for operating and monitoring pasteurisation equipment, maintaining precise temperature controls, and ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations. This position is essential to our production operations and directly impacts the quality and safety of our products reaching customers.

Key responsibilities

1. Operating and monitoring pasteurisation equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality

2. Maintaining accurate temperature and pressure controls throughout the pasteurisation process

3. Recording and documenting all process parameters, readings, and any deviations in accordance with food safety protocols

4. Conducting routine cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of pasteurisation equipment and related machinery

5. Identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions or performance issues to supervisors or maintenance teams promptly

6. Performing quality checks on processed products to ensure they meet company standards

7. Ensuring strict adherence to food safety regulations, including HACCP principles and hygiene standards

8. Following all health and safety procedures and contributing to a safe working environment

Communicating effectively with production team members to ensure smooth operational workflow

10. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation efforts

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience operating pasteurisation equipment or similar dairy processing machinery

2. Strong understanding of food safety standards, particularly HACCP and relevant dairy industry regulations

3. Ability to read, understand, and follow technical documentation and standard operating procedures

4. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

5. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues

6. Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene

7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment

8. Positive communication skills and the ability to report concerns or observations clearly

9. Willingness to work shift patterns as required by production schedules

10. Relevant certifications or qualifications in dairy processing or food safety (desirable)
