Leisure & Activities Officer

Location: Brighton, VIC, Australia 3186. Permanent part‑time role. Closing on Aug 1 2026.

About The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Leisure & Activities Officer to join our friendly and close‑knit team at Calvary Elanora. The role is part of an integrated team that supports residents to live their best life.

Responsibilities

- Respect every resident’s individual character, personality and right to independence to continue an enjoyable, healthy and productive lifestyle.
- Develop formal and informal activity programmes designed to improve and maintain the quality of life of residents.
- Provide social and recreational programmes that meet the needs of the residents.

Qualifications

- Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or other relevant qualification.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience in planning, implementation and evaluation of activities and programmes for frail people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities.
- Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes to meet legislative,



funding and quality improvement requirements.
- Ability to work and communicate with people of all ages and cognitive ability and to obtain their trust and cooperation.
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission‑based organisation.
