About The Role
The Mechanical Fitter role is a full‑time position, based at Coopers Plains, QLD. Reporting to the Manager at our Gyprock manufacturing site, you will be working Monday‑Friday assisting with general maintenance and breakdown work. Ideally, the successful applicant will have a manufacturing or building background, a Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate or similar, good attendance, and a strong awareness and regard for health, safety and the environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintaining operational machines in our Gyprock manufacturing site.
- Complete planned maintenance tasks.
- Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs.
- Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your supervisor.
- Fitting, welding repairs and pneumatics.
- Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
